Paytherden Solar Farm is a 49MW, ground-mounted solar PV array, situated to the north and east of the village of Clyst Hydon in Devon. The project comprises solar panels on frames, a temporary construction compound, gravel access tracks, a substation, inverters, perimeter fencing and CCTV. It was acquired from Lightrock Power Ltd after planning permission was granted by East Devon District Council in 2022. Once operational, the solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the demands of approximately 15,000 average UK homes each year. Construction is starting in July 2025. This website aims to provide you with information on progress and ways to get in touch with the project team.
